Can anyone help me rectify a fault with my 8800,

I replaced the housing and was all chuffed with myself as it went quite smoothly, however after switching on the phone I can no longer access the menu of the phone.

Its as though when it slides open the phone doesn't know that it is open.

Can anyone help or point me in the direction of where to seek help.

Thanks in advance

Ali

welcome to Esato

we have a very good pictorial here for changing the 8800 housing so it might be worth initially reviewing what you did in comparison to that to see if you missed something

Hey, recently after I've changed the housing, I have the same problem. Have you solved yours?

Furthermore, when you switch to camera mode, it will splach a white sreen follow by back to normal standby mode. I huess it's probably not recognising that I slide the phone up. What mechanism is to sense the user slide the phone up?
