ok so my stupi* brother left both remotes at his girlfriends house, and we dont own a media remote, ive got a blu--ray on, well sort of 
i know with normal dvd's, they eventually started playing automatically. Does this happen with the blu-ray's/ps3?
any one i can get it to play with out a remote?

It depends, in the settings there is an option to play media discs such as DVD's, Blu-ray's and games from the moment you insert them, but of course if you've got this turned off you'd need a remote or controller to play the disc.
