I can send pics, ringtones, etc from my phone to my PC, but I can't send anything from my PC to my phone using my bluetooth adapter.

for example, I rightclick a gif image (to use as a background on my phone) > send to > bluetooth > t68i, it'll bring up a status box and it'll say something like "calculating space needed, etc", then something like "checking services for t68i", then it'll end up basically unable to send it.

what's up with that? (i'm using tecom software with a belkin bluetooth adapter)

Is it that the pictures you are trying to send are very large with many pixels, and are therefore too big for the phone?

I have a similar problem using the same phone, bluetooth software and Bluetooth adaptor, except I can manage to send pictures to and from my phone, just can't get image editor or xtend or any similar programme to recognise my phone.

Would appreciate help with this problem too

bah, no, I even stated that I'd try sending pics that I might have used for a background.

I don't use any special program to send these pics, because with the bluetooth software installed, I just rightclick on files and go to sendto..

Trying to send a file to the phone by right clicking it and selecting send to your phone will not work because the T68i and T68 do NOT support the file transfer protocol which that service uses. Sounds stupid I know but that's the way it is.

You need to use another program like Float's Mobile Agent or SonyEricsson's Image Editor program.

http://www.christersson.org/software_sendfile.asp

Download the from the above link a program called "SendFile", this makes use of Mobile Phone Monitor just like Image Editor does but it allows you to sent tunes/pics anything to your phone. The program looks a bit pants and could be made a little easier to use (eg drag and drop) but for what it does, it works great

Oh yeah, it might be a good idea NOT to have both Image Ediitor and SendFile trying to access your phone at the same time so close one of them off when you use the other program.

You might also want to check out a program called "Float's Mobile Agent".

This doesn't necessarily make use of MobPhoneMonitor but it can use the virtual com port that you now have. The program lets you send and receive SMS messages from your PC
