Hi!

I put a folder with random MP3 music into my w890. All good.
But when entering the walkmanmenu I can't find this folder, all I find is artist, genre, year etc. All mixed up! Whats this? I thought the walkman phones would work like an normal MP3 player?

Is creating a playlist the only option to get around this?

you'd better put the same album to all of those songs or create a playlist.

cant you load only that folder? i think i was able to when i had my k750.

No, the "normal" type of MP3 players you are referring to are in the 20-40$ price range.
The walkman player is much more sophisticated. From what I understood, you just need to create some playlists with the groups of songs you intended to play separately. That should solve your problem.

Just don't forget that a playlist won't auto update

Yepp that seems like the only solution, but it's an acceptable way to do it.

Is'nt there a good software for PC that can manage playlist and mp3 folders? The SE media manager really sucks bigtime

In my phone (Walkman v2.0) if you want to play only from one specific folder then first open the folder from file manager, highlight one of the song and press more, press Music Player, press play all. This should take you to the Walkman player, then from the player you just press down or up to take you to the Play queue screen, press more and you should found save playlist there.
Sorry for my english...
Cheers!
