have you tried doing a network search and selecting the 3g network manually?
K700i > K750i > K810i (current phone)

Is it activated on your account at your providers end?

the house icon just means that its your home (main) network

*sigh*
Like I said, have you checked to see if it's activated?
With O2 theres two courses of action you need to take. The first is, ring up customer services and see if your tariff is capable of 3G. If not, a tariff change might be in order.
If you still have no luck, a sim swap to a newer sim card might be in order, again customer service can do this.
