I have a problem establishing BT connection between t68i and ipaq3870. I want to use t68i as gprs modem. My ipaq dials the number, but after a few seconds it responds that "There is no answer at the number dialed". I use definitely correct number and followed the instructions taken from www.sonyericsson.com site. I did not try IR connection, I guess it would work, but I want BT. Any ideas appreciated. Thanks a lot

I have T39+PALM. Important was to download drivers and browsers from the CD to the PDA! T68 must be BT on and phone in accepts-position in BT-menu.

BTW: I USE IT WITHOUT DOWNLOAD ANY SOFTWARE AND DRIVER.

YOU JUST HAVE A SETTING PROBLEM.

FINE. Now I am tapping this answer to the screen of Tungsten and BT is working. Old T39 is somewhere and the answer is coming to ESATO. Bravo.

I have Ericsson T68i and Ipaq 3870
so all u have to do first is open the bluetooth connection on both devices
after that open the bluetooth manager and search for devices
and after that it will find the phone
it will say enter password ****
try 0000
and after that see on the screen of ur phone it will tel u
ipaq added or something like it
so now open the bluetooth manager on ipaq
and click with the pen the phone it will load
it will say phone bonded
then click in the menu down and choose
set as a default modem dialer
then go to the settings---> conncetion
create a new connection named GPRS remove the phone number
and then go to Dialing patterns and remove the prefix numbers
put where it says G,, or something
choose on the three of them
g
g
g
thats it
then put the phone number
*98*1#
and now choose dial
thats it
have phone surfing the net with grps throw pocket pc

Thanks coolfighter, the key was to set up t68 as default bluetooth modem in bluetooth manager. It solved all my problems.
