As i scan through the hole site, there isn't a single post about the z series let alone, how to flash them. I have a z610i and no one seems to care about the phones existence!

Hey!
The following will probably answer your thousands of questions.
You asked' WHATS THE DIFFERENCE between z750i and z750a???'
So, here's your answer. I went to the shop and found out. The z750i is a asian or just another region phone. and the z750a is another region phone too! so maybe the z750i is asian and the z750a is erope or something. THERE! answered your question!!! (and by the way, you said you never saw a z610i in belgium. thats because there is NO z610i in belgium released. only asian areas.

Kudos to SE for brilliant marketing for these devices.

I opened a post your z610 pics thread some months ago. I was the only one to post a picture in it. Thread is now way down hidden under the dust of esato.

Unfortunatly its not just the Z series handsets that this happens to. Been quite a few.
Wonder if Laffen could put sections in the forum for each series (T,Z,K,P,X,G etc) or by form factor (Candybar,Smartphone,Slide,Flip etc)

Lol even then there wouldn't be many posts in the Z section. The thing is that it's not Esato users who are giving clamshells no respect. Its SE. They haven't released a really high-end clamshell since the V800/Z800. The Z750i came close, but features such as the 2 MP camera took it down a notch, and the decidedly feminine appearance meant that not many males were to buy it. Also, the fact that it was a rehashed Z610i took much interest away from it. If we look at how the majority of Esato members are male, well it becomes obvious why nobody around uses it.
Also, Esato's members are very much "power users" in that they want the latest and very best that any manufacturer has to offer. For that reason, its the phones like the K850i, P1i, W910i, N95 that see the most "respect". With all SE's clamshells being mid or low end, there wont be much hype over them.
Also, I think most people prefer candybar phones. And SE makes mostly candybars.
Perhaps with the release of the W980i, we will see more clamshell users, but that's the only clamshell in the pipeline that I've seen which could stir any real interest.

Well unfortunately, the z750i never made it to the public as far as I know. Unfortunate because it is a quad band plus 3G HSDPA HSUPA. The z750a however is sold in the US and Canada. What is the difference with the z750i, I don't know as it uses all the frequency bands used in the US, Europe etc.
I always liked clamshell phones because it protects the screen and also false calling when the phone is in a pocket does not happen.

Yeah I don't think the Z750i made it to European markets either. The Z750a came out in some markets, but even then I think it sold in very low numbers. I don't think it had HSUPA though.
I like clamshells too, for a change. I just need SE to release a really decent one. The W980i came so close, but didn't quite hit the mark.

i've just like the z610 and z750.
can we blame ?
most of the ppl like the commercial phones(k,t,w) and we cant blame them as these are more "equipped" than others. you know what i mean.

Are we sure this is not a fashion thing? According to my info clamshells are not very popular in general right now - it seems to be sliders and candybars.

Yeah thats true, Clamshells aren't really popular right now, except in the never-changing USA. Sliders are definitely in at the moment.

So it would hardly seem sense to throw money at a form factor that would have a limited chance of selling.
Sliders probably sell many times more than clamshells anyway.
