Im a electrcian and i use my phone from 6am to 4pm with radio on all time. My handsfree work up to 3 months then they start to bugg, like the latest one i have now. Its the stereo handsfree with in ear plugs and display. When i connect it sometimes my phone reboots other times only one "plug" works and other times it doesnt work at all. Its the stupid connector that ericsson uses, i would like to talk with the guy that thought it would be a good idea to use them. I mean its obious after sometime of usage it till disable. Cause you have to bend it up and down and its very easy that when you have it in your pocket the connector slipps off! I thought it was a bad idea already on the k750 and that they would fix it, i had to buy 4 handsfree during 1 year til the joystick broke wich is another story but atleast that is fixed, but what about the god damn handsfree. Is it only me and my friends that has this problem or is ericsson aware of this and likes it cause people have to buy new handsfrees? From now on im saving my recipets I aint buying any more. Here in sweden it costs about 7-80 $ or 50€.
Ericsson please fix this if you read this or ill have to start buying nokia wich i dont want to do.

It's SONY Ericsson.
BTW, I find the fastport quite reliable.

The man has a point. The silly port is stupid. The person that came up with the idea is about as smart as the port itself.

The fast port on my P990 broke the day I got it. from then on I was never ever able to enjoy the radio or adequately listen to music using the cheap head set that came with the phone.
Worse you can't keep your phone in some cases (the one I had) and use the fast port.
Overall the fast port just looks stupid when one has to plug in the head sets.

The fast port is a good thing. it was build on the old fast port from ericsson. Is a typical swedish thing. they always try something new.
In this case it was a good thing, atleast in my eyes. Still i myselve preferd the older ericsson fast port system.

The male plug into the fast port is too big and lends itself to being bent and broken to easily.
I am trying to put a picture of the fast port on here but can't get it on. However the male end is just too big and clumsy. One should not have to access the music and radio via it. If anything it should be left to recharging and updating via the DCU cable.

SE should've used splash power technology along time ago. then the fastport could've had a totally diffirent design.
i've seen a few borken ones in my life. no offence but the ones that broke them just aren't causius enough.

have two broken chargers ATM ...
and I am not buying any of SE accesories for sure, just because of dodgy quality/design of fastport ... |

Well, I'd be more than happy if they could put a mini-usb port and a 3.5mm jack on it instead of the fastport. Or if they had to use the mini-usb for their headsets as well, I wouldn't mind getting a mini-usb to 3.5mm adaptor. |

I really liked but this is just another failure of theirs. The fast port should not be the universal port for all of its attachments. :se; really needs to update to having the mini USB,3.5mm port and or fast port.
Fast port smarceport

I bought a nokia n95 for my gf and it has a 3.5mm jack from wich you can use handsfree, connect to tv or some media dock. Thats the perfect solution! |
