I found a brand new(28minutes call time) N76 for 210$(US) without warranty. The new one with warranty is for 400$. The other one doesnt have warranty because its imported from Dubai and obviously its warranty wont work here in Pakistan.
So would you go for such an offer?

i buy most of my phones from overseas.... never have a warranty for them..... but i save a few $$$.......
the retailers i buy from always do QC (quality check/control) on the phones before they send them out to limit sending out faulty handsets/returns.....
and i dont really need warranty, as i know how tix my phone if something was to go wrong....... well, software problems any way. and ive never hardware problems..... and take care of my phones, so hardware faults dont occer, ie, from drops etc......
so yes, id buy it!

I wouldn't have a problem buying a phone at half the price without a warranty. The only condition is that it be from one of the big manufacturers...so whenever it's buggered I can get it fixed somewhere.

Well i'm in a dilemma. I'm really tempted by this N76. If i dont get this, i can get a N81(450$) in June when my exams are over. So i'm just wondering if i'll gain anything from buying a N76 and selling my N71

Hmm, I don't know what an N76 is like for reliability, but if they are known to be buggy or bad build quality in early versions or later ones, then I wouldn't go for it. But I don't know, if N76s have proven to be reliable, then by all means, go for it. I would!

Yup i do that all the time, normally if somethings working correctly in the first instance it tends to stay that way.

Might as well buy it QVGA, the only reason being even if something were to happen to it, by the time something does happen the price of the N76 would have fallen again, and would most probably be at the price youre buying one now.
Buy it, enjoy it for the time being, save that money you saved on it and buy a killer phone by the start of 2009, there are going to be some killer android phones out by later 2008.

Yes I would sacrifice a warranty for significant reduction in cost, but only on a and not a S500.

Like what others say go for it if its working and your getting it for a trusted buyer. Oh i don't like the N76 personally i think it looks like a girly phone black or red lol but do check out the N82 black if thats available half price with out warrenty that would be a steal
