Im just upgrading my pc, we dont have the money at the moment to get a new one. I just upgraded the ram to 2gb thanks to Crucial.com, however now i need a better video card.

My PC;
HP Pavilion 061
Model;
DW233A-ABA A520N
CPU;
AMD Athlon(tm) Processor

i was hoping someone here could point me in the right direction

Right,Some questions.
What are ya going to use it for (newest and best games or some oldies only? or just as a HTPC)
how much do you want to spend for video card.

i just want to upgrade because i was going to get vista and it said i need to change my graphics card, thats all really

According to that it has an AGP 8x slot.

And in case of vista,any dx9 video card will do,
but for the sake of future proofing get one of these (hdcp + HD video acceleration for blu ray et all ).

shyamm yeah that is our pc, you know what i dont understand, it says that i can only have 1gb of ram, when i have 2gb at the moment, i even have right clicked on my computer and it says under properties memory 1.93gb. But yeah thanks for your help here

That's just an error. Motherboards like yours with Windows XP running support up to 4Gb

Whichever graphics card you get, make sure that it supports Direct X 10 and has at least 128Mb of RAM, preferably 256Mb. That'll make Vista look very pretty
