Don't know about the release date of the digital Bluespoon but I wouldn't wait for it without getting the regular Bluespoon first. Yes, it is kind of expensive but if you have the money it sure is worth it. Every time I use mine I am amazed how small it is. Great product!

GREK> The sound quality in the Bluespoon is awesome compared to earlier headsets. The mic picks up your voice very easily. The people I have talked to on my BS hardly hears any difference. However, when in a really noisy environment it can be hard for the other person to hear you. I don't care so much about that though because I usually don't talk in noisy environments anyway. I think the BS is worth every penny if you use your phone a lot.

I would choose black or blue. The blue has a nice color to it but I got the black one because it is more discrete.

Phones are usually subsidised when you buy it with a contract, but the BlueSpoon is pretty expensive nevertheless. It's still a little cheaper than a T68i though (without contract).

Digital BlueSpoon is supposed to include a DSP (digital sound processor) to clear up background noise, there isn't any release date yet and if the normal BlueSpoon was anything to go by, it will be a long wait. It's also likely to cost quite a bit more as the DSP is licenced from a thrid party and is extra specilised hardware added to the cost of the standard BlueSpoon. There is also some mention in this forum of a JawBone BlueSpoon that picks up your voice from vibrations along your jaw, this may give better results than a DSP in noisy environments - we'll have to wait some more and see.

The Special Edition (Blue) BlueSpoon looks nice, but is very bright as the device flashes every 20 seconds in normal standby. You can see the whole case light up in a very bright blue! The Panther Edition (Black) is a little more discreet as the shell is translucent Black which does not let through quite as much light and so is less intense.

Yes, the black Panther model sure is discreet. That is why I bought that model. I hardly notice any light coming from it. Sometimes I wonder if it actually is powered on That is a good thing! I hated my HBH-15 that made me look like someone out of Star Trek.
