Need help with sending email. Receiving works fine, but when I try to send I get the message "Email-address not valid" (or something like that, I'm using swedish as language...)

I pretty certain my settings are correct, 'cause I'm using them on three other computers.

Any ideas?

No problem here. Have you set your smtp to your networks smtp -not your e-mail provider. I have: pop.online.no and smtp.netcom.no.

Not sure what that would be good for? Since "Raven" has the same problems that shouldn't be it.

Something wrong with the software then? (I'm using the commercial firmware)

Can someone then explain why the exact same settings work in three different outlook-programs but not with my dear P800?

Pappa, what operator are you using?
If you're on comviq try to set
smtp to 130.244.199.223 that works on my 7650 and t68 as well
as on my laptop (outlook)

Raven - I assume you are NetCom subscriber then?
What kind of GPRS account are you using to connect to the mail? you cant use an ordinary wap account, you have to make another gprs account, where you set the address field to be internet.netcom.no (address is same as APN)

I'm using Vodafone as mobile carrier and Telia as popmail-serviceprovider.

The settings I use in Outlook does not include any IP-addresses, just "mail1.telia.com" as the smtpserver, nothing else.
