They are both built around the same chip set with really the only difference being the style and design of the two handsets plus of course the N95 8gb has a larger screen and battery, whilst the N82 has a Xenon flash.
The N82 although having a smaller battery does benefit from Demand Paging that extends battery life as do the N95's now. As far as WiFi is concerned i have never had any problems with it on any of my Nokia devices and would imagine there is little or no difference between them.
