Has anyone else noticed that when a call is recieved, the background to the picture of the caller is in keeping with the chosen theme, but that when you dial out, the picture of the contact being dialed has the background from the 'silk' theme?

My question is this: does anyone know where to put the missing texture in SE's theme editor? It's been bothering me for months, I've got a couple of otherwise perfect themes, and I've RTFM before anybody asks

If you've ever loaded all your contacts back from outlook, then all the picture sizes will have been down rezed to thumbnail & you need to replace them with the originals.

BUMP!!

Has noone else noticed this? If not, are there any theme editing types out there who can tell me what I'm doing wrong?

Try restarting, sometimes that fixes the problem.

Well, here's one of them:

It was based on one I found for the P990 by "thecoolsha" - many thanks to you, wherever you are

On which themes does that happen ?

Default ?
Horizon ?
Custom themes?

Or all ?

And which background is that exactly ?

Can you post a screenshot ?

When recieving a call:

which is as it should be,

BUT, when calling, I get this:

What I want is the background of the seccond to be as the first, and what I get seems to be from the preloaded 'silk' theme as far as I can tell.

EDIT: I've just tried a couple of the preloaded themes and it seems to happen with them all, also this has been constant, no matter which firmware is loaded.

The file you are looking for is a file named CallControlSkin.png and is located in Z:\\private\\100051f1.

It is a fixed skin which does not change when you change your theme:

CallControlSkin.png (I have pasted it on a black background):

How odd that you can skin everything else...maybe somebody at SE is reading this and maybe they'll do something about it....or maybe not But thanks ever so much for getting to he bottom of it!! I guess I could try the new protected folder hack and change it, but with no way of specifying white text...and it would make changing themes a bit of a bother. Hey ho - think I'll live with it

@hgautam
Thank you for my new improved theme - particularly like the new back button, and the progress bar!

@AD

Yes, it's odd.

It wouldn't be a problem to add this png file in a theme, but I have checked the theme.xml file and it seems as if SE hasn't assigned a replaceable category for it (which would appear in the SE Theme editor anyway, if it would exist).

So we are stuck with this one.

The only solution would be, as you said, to modify the original file..

Another thing I've noticed is that Z:\\private\\101F6278\\Skins contains all the elements which are replaceable by a theme:

Well all we can hope for is that someone at SE recognises their mistake.

BTW, I notice you've got 22 items in your system tray, how does your pc have the cycles for anything else?!?

and how long does it take to start up?
