Hi guys,

I'm on my 2nd K850i and waiting for a 3rd replacement from O2 - the current problem with this one is that the touch sensor/light sensor has stopped working, so I can't use the top panel menu buttons.

I have the phone on, and in the past day or so have received around 20 text messages (typical!) and I'm desparate to read them, does anyone have any idea of another way of using the keypad to function as a select/read option...? It's so frustrating!

I was going to try and find out if there was any way of reading the messages on my phone's memory through connecting the USB cable, but when I come to do that - I can't choose what mode to put the phone in for using with a USB cable - because when I come to select the one I want, the Select button is a touch-sensor button (which obviously isn't working!)

Any answer to my problem would be a HUGE LIFESAVER, because no doubt when O2 receive my phone - they won't retain the messages on it...

Thanks,

- Joe

Have you tried MyPhoneExplorer?
On DB2020 you don't have to select phone mode to connect your phone to MPE.

Give MPE a try

Thanks guys,

Given that a go but won't work because doesn't recognise it as a USB device - and is asking me to select Phone Mode - but without the touch sensors working I can't select the Phone Mode option! Really annoying!

Tried taking out the battery for a few minutes, and put it back in - and by some kind of fluke the touch sensor started working again, but not long enough for me to be able to get the USB cable in - and now back to square one, and tried removing battery and putting in again and doesn't react the same.
