ATT 3G speeds on K850? |

I've taken my K850i traveling recently to Germany and Switzerland where I would see a "H" or a "U" on my phone. Normally when I'm in the US on ATT, I would see a "3G" symbol.
Now I understand that "H" is the fastest, "U" is in the middle and "3G" is the slowest of the group. Does ATT have settings to be used on the K850 so I can get the faster speed of "H" instead of the slower speed of "3G"?
Does ATT offer that speed in the first place? I'm in San Francisco. |

you need to know if AT&T offers HSDPA or UMTS if you want to use. if you dont see it when you are in its coverage, it means they dont have the services.

UMTS is 3G so you will never prob see a U sign. (Ive never seen a U sign on my K850i. I have seen G, E, 3G and H
Never U though.
How the system works is
GSM > HSCD > GPRS > EDGE.
(UMTS) 3G > HSDPA > HSUPA >
Currently At&t are rolling out HSDPA.
However this is the at&t website that may be of some help for you

This phone is an unbranded version. Picked it up in Hong Kong. Other than the data questions, it has been pretty good. Pix are decent as long as you're not using the flash... |
