Question for Admin and People good with computers ? |

Hello, Im admin on a site and banned/ip blocked a user for posting graphic porn. Problem is the little bastard seems to have a program to change ip addresses. and keeps returning. any way to fix it to permanently keep the little bastard out ? after a month its become an annoyance. Thanks for any ideas.

What about reporting him to his email provider?

I ban the email addresses at the same time. No luck with email provider its from.ru and mail.ru addresses no response from them when contact them. guess will just keep blocking and banning . . shame they dont respond like yahoo and gmail. |

You could block him by IP range, but you would eventually disallow legitimate users to access your website if they were using an IP address of the same range...
Usually ISP's do not fixed IP addresses for users. They have a pool of IP addresses and one is assigned to the user whenever he connects to the internet (using DHCP). |

well the little sod is slowing down only 2 attempts a day now. @ Krubach thought all ips were fixed ? as remember hearing something about law enforcement agencies being able to locate users by ip ?? had thought of block the range as you suggested but with other members from the same country who are good members cant do it to them. |

Wild card his address
For example i've banned all: *.ru
If you do that, no one will be able to sign up to your site if they use a .ru domain.
