Hello all
I have a slight of a problem here, i just bought a W580i, and whenever i hook it with the USB cable, it charges the battery via the cable (besides the mass storage function of course).
Is there an option/way to stop this? I don't want to decrease my battery life span by always recharging the battery...
the P990 had an option to disable USB charging....can I do it in my W580?
P.S: i did the search, and had no luck fetching an answer...would appreciate your help all

No you can't. However, this is a good thing.
Besides, it doesn't drain your battery life. |

hey nightblade.... i think you are wrong...
@ahmed-sama
open the service menu... (>*<<*<*)
there is an option there to disable the USB recharge (as far as i remember on the K800)... (i don't have a A100 handset right now so i cant tell you exactly where on the service menu)
you will find it there for sure... |

@ all :
i found the option in the service menu, but when disabling it, it does NOTHING (that is, the phone still recharges from USB) !
any recommendations?

Recommendations? Dont connect it as much to usb.
Use a memory card reader.
While it is true that repeated charges decrease battery life and the battery could fail six months down the line. It doesnt necessarily mean it will. Its a little like saying, "help me find a different method of keying in my text messages because I dont want wear on my keypad."
If it bugs you that much. Purchase an extra battery.

Thanks but that doesn't give me a solution!
I prefer much like...'no there isn't'
Not actually waiting for anyone to tell me something as stupid as 'don't USB connect it', obviously if i want to USB, then i want it for a reason..
*sigh*

Im actually supprised SEPCSUITE wont allow a Bluetooth connection. Have you tried connecting via bluetooth for access as a Mass Storage device or something?? I know Samsung does this but yea.
