Just reading through a review, and from my own observations - GSMArena have confirmed the poor colour rendition from Sony Ericsson's Cameras...

'Judging the camera quality of a beta unit is a risky business. Even so, it's clear the C902 camera is a spot on match. The images are crisp with nice detail. Noise level is relatively low, especially with sufficient light. The autofocus camera does very well at close-ups. Image colors are relatively good represented; yet all colors are a bit cold. We think they need some 10-15% more saturation to ride high.

Unfortunately the trademark red-to-pink conversion that all recent Sony Ericsson cameraphones do is still present here and judging from our experience it will be there in the final products too.'

The Cyber-shot brand is really going to suffer here - Why Sony Ericsson's Engineers cannot get their handsets to capture realistic colours - I'll never know - Just what are they playing at??

Hi

very nice pics!!

I saw somewhere around the web that this phone is using sim cards. But can it work on european networks? I mean on gsm and 3G/3G+ networks?

And if it is compatible? are there other languages than japanese so we could be able to use it easily?

It is not compatible with European networks. I believe it is locked to the Japanese network it sells on.

I read somewhere that it is near impossible to unlock them for use on other networks due to the extremely complex coding they use to lock them. I don't believe someone will unlock them. It's not even likely anyone cares enough to attempt it.

So, no. You can't have one. Lol

Hey dude,

As Mr Oli said, they do support SIM cards (Unusual for a DoCoMo handset) - but we are unable to use it here on our networks such as Orange etc, due to Sim Lock restrictions.

Plus, all DoCoMo phones come with a subscription, and work with that handset only - a bit unfair if you ask me - seeing as they can buy our almighty K850i...

As I am heading out to Japan on an exchange soon form Uni, I recently got news of my loan handset - obviously as I was given the choice, I picked the SO905iCS - so i'll have both my K850i and SO905iCS with me

Ill let you guys know if my Orange SIM works out there!

In regard language, I believe you can change it to English - The last Sony Ericsson I used (SO902i) had the option...

But, don't you guys agree - these Pics are far superior to anything my K850i has produced

The last time I checked, a London Bus was RED - not Pink...

@NightBlade

Thats a K810i - We are not contesting the K800i/K810i red reproduction, my K800i does a great job of it - its the K850i and C Series in discussion here.
