Difference between charging with the USB and the "normal" cable? |

Is there any technical/effective difference between charging my W910i with the USB cable that is connected to my computer, and charging it with the regular charger? Does it take more time or anything like that? |

Charging with the mains charger is faster, thats about it.
My opinions on this forum are that of my own and not of the company I work for. |

Yes, charging with the USB-cable takes more time and
I also have the impression, the phone gets not as fully charged, as with the standard charger.

One plugs in your power socket and the other into your USB

When I was having problems with my previous P990, the SE tech (oddly he knew his stuff ) told me to use the mains to charge my P990 as USB charge isn't as effective.
USB charging is for emergency purposes, for normal charging you should use the mains.
P990i: A mistake, a curse and a disgrace So I lowered my expectations and settled for a P1i. I couldn't keep my expectations so low for a long time so now I have an HTC Touch HD |

Is it just me or that USB charging at times actually discharges the battery.

It does not discharge the battery as such, what I have found is that when you charge it by USB it discharges faster ie the phone does not hold on the charge for as long as it should be.
