Hi!

easy question!

I am looking for a picture or guide in the manual that shows the screens icons.

For example, signal strength, GPRS, internet connection, hands free ( if connected etc. )

I have looked in my manual and downloaded the PDF from the S-E site and I can't find !

Can anyone point me to the page, or a link that shows these !

Any help appreciated !

Ofiaich

But there might be one somewhere ! I can't find though...

Hi Sebby!

GPRS was a blue triangle in my previous phones, but nowt on the K850i.

I just wondered about that, I do see a small G in a circle, when I access the internet !

The blue triangle on older models is the same as the G on the K850. Additionally, the K850 will show 3G or H if available. [addsig]

Did you ever see the K850 indicating a H? Even when i'm on HSDPA, it indicates 3G.
Wire telegraph is a kind of a very, very long cat. You pull his tail in NYC and his head is meowing in LA. Do you understand this? And radio operates the same way: you send signals here, they receive them there. The only difference is there's no cat!

I'd say mine showed H for the majority of the time. It could either be that your operator or area doesn't have HSDPA, or could be you are still running the original 029 firmware, which tended to always display 3G. [addsig]

Well, i'm pretty sure i have HSDPA coverage (using K850 as modem on MacBook results in above 1mbit download) and just upgraded the phone to R1EA031 today, but still no H. On 037 is saw it never either.

The only place i saw a 'H" icon was a third option called HSDPA in the Mobile Networks > GSM/3G menu since today, but that one disappeared again after a Master Reset.

Could be local firmware differences or maybe it has someting to do with the vendor from the HSDPA network equipment.

Unless SE have altered the design/build (which I find unlikely), it's inevitable, so 100%. If something is not completely sealed, dust is going to get in. It's just one of the reasons I sold my K850; poor software is one thing, but hardware is something that can't really be sorted once you have the phone. [addsig]
