If P5 is small as suggested, imho it will be a candybar a bit like xdamini in formfactor. Large touchscreen covering most of the surface, but with some hardware buttons such as dpad. MAYBE a slide for a full keypad. On screen qwerty.

Or perhaps non-slide, no dpad and 3x4 small number pad below the large screen.

It will be completely different hardware to X1. 5MP or more cam (since P series is overdue for a larger cam). fastport and m2 expansion (or no expansion and large internal mem 8GB or more).

hsdpa, wifi-g, vga video and screen. GPS may or may not be on the menu.

Just my humble guestimate - time will tell.

An interesting question is what's the minimum processor for the P5i to perform just enough performance to level the WM version?
Assuming they will use the same Qualcomm processor, how much Underclock is needed to obtain the above state?

strongly doubt it.

You won't get a UIQ version of the X1, however SE have said they won't necessarily use WM in the next Xperia device. X1 is the WM handset, Xperia is the panels interface.

hardwarewise P5 is incompatible with the X1's PCB. the qualcomm CPU just doesn't support symbian platform yet. P5's perfect platform baseline would be TI-OMAP

Not really...the existence of Paris does not mean the X1 cousins do not exist...

But Paris does not just look exactly like X1 with UIQ in it.

precisely....this thread still makes SOME sense, because Paris is not the x1 with UIQ, but the fact Paris is like that, does not mean there isnīt OTHER device that actually is something like a x1 with UIQ...a cousin

my source was in the other day with a high end UIQ device on its hand...and wasnīt Paris...then he talked about X1 cousins...well...this gives some idea

i remembered the samsung g810

also here a comparison in size..with the p1...
front

and side(with n81 (17.9mm) because there isnt one of the g810 yet and the n81 is pretty much the same size..

review here at gsmarena - look at more pics compare the side views..
(this is just to get a comparison size..)

If it had an optical zoom setup, that would go some way to explain why the back half is sooo thick. In which case I could forgive the design faux pas of turning an othewise sleek and ergonomic object into an out of proprtion brick......
