hey all,
well, as title, i may be coming to London mid March, will be a 2 month trip.
Will give full details a little later, but, can all the londoners please reply here, just so i know who i may be able to meet whilst im there.
One q to start with though, what sort of work could i do for 2months there?
Any recommendations? (not vital, but thinking i should have a little source of income, though will go into money details a little later, tomorrow when more people are online at an earlier time)
ta

yes just London.
Im not paying for the ticket, the girl i am seeing is. She got accepted into an academy for something, so is going free. She offered to pay (her parents have $, and has deposited $ into her account since she was 5, they dont do it any more, but after 13 years, im sure you can imagine how much is in there) and she wants me there for support, and so that she doesnt get home sick knowing ill be there when she gets home every day.
although im not officially with her, but its a free ticket! (as bad as that sounds) whilst i do have money, not a great deal of it though, i dont think id last 2 months (but its not going to be a costly holilday) she has offered to give me money should i need it.
oo, so you know, i am planning on making things official with her!

not giving up australia just for her. Though i know it would mean a lot to her!
But, i love travelling, although i havent travelled much, only NZ and Thailand so far. I dont mind the cold, we get winter here too you know and i go to the snow a few times a year, so i can handle it!
I know London is costly, but was gonna go there one day.....
and can catch a couple premier league games (since the quality of football stinks here, i could easily play in the A-League)

i dont get home sick. im not one too miss people or get home sick, as strange as that sounds.
Id definately be staying the full 2 months.
what sort of places can you recommend working in, say a few days a week, paying decent money for the hours you do? Something like retail maybe?

if you have experience in retail then you can get a job pretty quickley,
try ALDI as they pay £9.00 per hour.
all the usual other shops will pay Min wage.
you could try getting a office job part time as this may pay you a little more
I guess you will have to wait for the other people to login and tell you what you can do down London btw ive only been there. I live in
West Midlands

well im only 19, i should be able to get a retail job.
Worked in Target and then Mcdonalds and couple other minor things, now working in an office...
an office job would be great, not sure what i could do though for 2 months.
as you said, best i wait til the londoners come on!

how old did you think i was
well, i think im mature enough (even if i am only 19, though i get what you mean, some 19 yr olds wouldnt be able to do it) to travel. Went to NZ with brother and few friends, coped fine, i know this is more on my own a little, but ill be fine....
masseur is moving soon though i think? i know he is coming to aus early march, but im sure he will help if he can (always so helpful), and i think he will be back in london within the 2 months (think the aus trip is only couple weeks)

i'm applying for jobs in london right now for when I graduate, not sure I will get them, but would love to see the city, I would not be staying in the city centre mind you.
It would probably be after you have visited I move there so I won't see you this time buddy
