Every time i switch off my w910i and switch it on again, the media starts scanning or you can say loading from 0% to 100%..and this takes bloody 10-15 mins...sometimes half an hour...
and when it is going on, the interface becomes so slow..so annoying it is..cant even watch videos dat time..they play like slow motion..they lag..evrything lags...
My earlier nokia cell had an option for doing any such scanning or loading in the music player..and also, it used to get over in 2 mins..it never used to start automatically n make whole cell slow down..

PLEASE HELP!!! Is there any option to stop this??????

I have a W910i with 8GB Sandisk card, and damn the interface is slow when browsing Media/Songs etc.

I hope they come with a new firmware soon that SPEEDS this phone up A LOT.

There is an option to upgrade your firmware, even though you have the latest... Did you try that? It could be some kind of software corruption.

Does it not say "you already have the latest software for your phone, update anyway?"

It said that for my V630i, I dunno if they kept that option though.
