Yeah well it is wait-listed, but I think they must have it available or it wouldn't be there. The price is ridiculous though.

Maybe it works out at an OK price in your country, but its NZ$1164 which is very high, especially for an imported phone which are generally a lot cheaper than phones bought from retailers here. Check the price of the C902 at that same website. It is a lot cheaper than the W980i (NZ$666), and in my opinion it does not have a lot more than the W980i. Well, not $500 worth of extras.

Agreed.
Thats more than double the W760 price.
Even my V800 can do light effects, so thats a high price for 8gig of memory and FM transmitter.

You know, at this price and without Wifi, its basically obselete on release now that the C905 has been released.
I use HSDPA for my internet connection, if I get a VodafoneNZ 3G Wifi router (which takes an HSDPA PCMCIA card) then I can share my HSDPA connection with an iPhone 3G and a C905 but not the W980, which makes me think twice about this phone. I could set up an internet sharing BT Personal Area Network but that would require my laptop being 'always on' which defeats the purpose.
W980 is good looking but not enough to justify NZ$1100+ IMO.

the price will not be that high.
the w960i entered the market at about $850aud, now its at about $500aud'ish.......
so its obviously a mistake as the w980 wouldnt be released at a higher price.

I was wondering that whether it has been released or not? Here in UK release date is July. But it wouldn't be that pricey I guess.

They share a common form factor and finish.
from my observations, sometimes it's better off not knowing. |

Thanks! Thats what I thought! Glad to see I'm not the only one that noticed! Which one is to be the better of the two? |

Heres an important question, (well for me anyway):
Where is the simcard slot located?
if its hidden like the W910 and W960 that a bad thing! It takes me an hour and a half to slide the card out when i need to change it. |
