So are they actually going to improve sound quality. With the name such as Walkman you would think so cos i have yet to come across a Walkman phone with decent sound quality. W810 and W900 were ones with any good sound. W910 was dreadful sound my LG sounds better and i know good sound i collect top of the range hi fi. Come on SE get ya skates on.

Now that we are starting to see preview models, any firm release date on the phone?
How about price indications?

yes it is true.

dont see it as a big problem though, barely any phones have this feature.

Still its a shame. Transmitting to a nearby FM Radio is always a good little party tool to have.

W960 looks quite plain IMO doesn't match the similarly priced N95 for features, doesn't contain the cool looking light effects, FM transmitter or HSDPA, loses several useful BT profiles as do all SE UIQ phones and has a number of disappointed owners from what I've read. I don't think Wifi and A/F is important enough to me to overcome the fact that this W980 is a great looking, heavily featured phone and considering that high end SE clams are VERY RARE could make this a future classic, possibly the first since the W900.

Yeah, a big call I know but as long as SE don't repeat the K850i mistakes, this phone should take off...

As far as I'm concerned, pre-review comments about a prototype phone not supplied or endorsed by SE does not count as confirmation.
