I pick up Edge and HSPDA when I'm in the States with my X1 using ATT towers. Not sure about those other bands, but it can pick them up if the tower you're closest to broadcast those frequencies.

There is no 1700MHz frequency in either X1. |

I want a good calculator for my X!.
It must be scientific or something in that style, cause I need it in school.
And I would be glad if it is free!

I haven't went through the free ones yet, but I have the demos of HiCalc and 1-Calc. Both are pretty powerful and oriented towards advanced math. I may be sticking with HiCalc if I don't see something better at the above link... |

Sometimes when i download applications that's made for PPC the phone sais it is not a valid application. Is there something wrong with my phone, or cant X1 drive these applications? This game for example, i have tried to install the trail version, but it wont work? Is there any way to make it work?

It's an .exe file = you have to install it from the PC, not from the phone (like .CAB file).

Have a look at a freeware product called PIM Backup application v2.8, it capable of binary and ASCII backup. It can be scheduled and can create .csv contact files useable with outlook.

Where the heck is the playnow panel and playnow arena support for the X1, Sony ericsson always promises the earth and delivers f**k all, i cant hold on much longer to my x1 if there is no app/music store for it. I know you can use just about any on a pc then drag and drop but i want to do all of it from my phone just like the iphone 3g. Apart from that and the shite avi playback (have to convert all my movies to a format that works well on the x1) its a good phone lol

Yer the playnow arena site is live here in the uk but when u create an account u select your phone u have and just about every other sonyericsson phone is on there apart from the X1!! The x1 would be the ultimate phone if it had the built in app/music store as originally advertised.. Oh well maybe ill give them until the walkman x1000 comes out and live with drag and drop for now... |

I guess nobody has any further rumour/news on that ROM update that was supposed to be ready to go weeks ago?
I had to hard reset my X1 a couple of days ago, and i cant decide whether to reload everything, or just run stripped down till this update hits.
Mizzle? Goldenface? Xell? anybody got any clues???
Anybody allowed to tell???

According to T3 the X1 is "creaky and dated"
pretty much how I found it!
I have owned the ... T68i T610, P800, P900, P910, P990, W950, P1, W960 But SE have now totally lost the plot. |
