K810i vs W880i |

Hello,
After about a week of frantic googling and note-taking I seem to have narrowed down my choice of phone to three - the K810i, the W880i and the W810. My previous phone was the k500i which seems an absolute beast now, but looking at some of the phones that were recommended to me by people (*cough* Nokia N93 *cough*) maybe it wasn't too bad!
Anyway what I'm really getting at is the relative difference between the "k" phones and the "w" phones - as I understand it the "w" series has a Walkman interface for viewing music but that does that mean that the k810i has basically no interface for viewing music? (i.e. no sort by "artist" etc.) - is it like my old k500i in that you had a 'media browser' and that was it? How far does the W880i/W810i excel in terms of music-playing ability/interface? I mean, my 1st generation iPod Nano doesn't have the most flashy UI ever (compared to the newer ones) but it does the job.
I'm also curious at how much worse the camera on the two "w" phones is than on the k810i? Given how crappy the camera on my k500i I still takes lots of pics with it so picture quality is important. (btw how loud is the picture-taking noise on these phones, on the k500i it sounds like a can being crushed and is REALLY loud, and seemingly can't be turned off!).
And aside from the differences between the k and the w, I've heard that some people prefer the W880 and some prefer the W810 - why do some people prefer the older model?
edit: I've also heard that the photos taken with the k810i are actually WORSE than those of the k800i?! Is it worth sacrificing a slightly larger size for supposedly better pictures with the k800i ? Also, aside from being slightly smaller what other changes were made to the k810i?
Thank you (sorry for all the questions)

1. the k810i has a music player (its basically the same as the walkman in the w810) which allows you to browse the tracks by either artists or tracks and create playlists. personally, i prefer the old walkman player on the w810 tbh
2. the w880 and w810i both have the same amount of megapixels (2mp), but the w810i has autofocus which is much better the the fixed-focus camera on th e w880. the k810i has a 3.2mp camera and is better for pictures. the shutter sound can easily be removed and on both my k800 and k810 it was quiet (nowhere near as loud as my k700/your k500i). Most SE phones have a selection of 3 shutter sounds (4 inc the standard 1 which sounds more like a camera, not a crunch like the k500/700).
3. i prefer the w810i as it feels more sturdier and has bigger buttons. also from when i had a w810i, i compared it to my mates w880 and the speaker was much better.
4. i have both the k800 and k810. i cant notice any difference between the two and they both have the same camera driver. apart from the casing/size, trackID and photofix are the main differences.
hope this helps

Must admit for a music phone the W880i has the worsed speaker I've ever come across, even the ringtones sound feeble. That said I had one for almost a year and it served me well, the numeric keys are a pain and the camera is best forgotten about, if using headset the music player is great. It appears to be well put together and the battery life is good. I would give it 8/10 after a year of usage. After 6 K850's I wish I still had it. |

the w880i & k810i have the same back speaker, just the w880 uses a better acoustic for the back-speaker.
the k810i cam is the best, the k810i takes sharper pics & the autofocus seems a bit better compared to the k800i this is due to the firmware.
the k800i's media player is ok it's a unbranded walkman 1 player, theres playlist and you can sort you music by artists etc, sound quality is ok. |

I've just been looking through the k770 camera pics thread and it seems almost as good, if not better, than the pics taken with the k810i?! Trouble is, I can't seem to find the k770 on PAYG in the UK.. |
