LG are not leaving behind with the LG KF600 and the LG KF700. Both are sliders, but while the KF600 has its touch-sensitive InteractPad, the KF700 has a large 3-inch touchscreen display. Both have fully-fledged hardware keypads.
LG KF700 reminds us of the Viewty with its 3” large touch-sensitive display on the front and lack of hardware buttons. However, it is in slider form-factor and has standard numeric keypad. On the back there is a scroll-wheel, which would be used as alternative to the touchscreen, for navigating through the menus. It is clear that the phone will be touted for its user interface and for its multimedia (note the 240x480 pixels display), but we are not really sure how it compares with the Viewty. The camera is 3-megapixel, instead of 5, and there is no information on DivX support. Expect more information in future.
LG KF600 is the GSM variant of the Venus, which Verizon Wireless offers in the States. Although it uses similar design, it is more advanced version in terms of features. The touch-display which stays in the place of a D-pad (now called “InteractPad”) will offer more options. Expect our hands-on experience soon.
