i bought a w200 phone on ebay but its locked to asda's network.took it to the shop to get unlocked but the guy could not do it.can some one help me out to get the phone unlocked so i can give the phone to my son as he wanted a new mobile cheers all

not sure if Asda locked mobiles can be unlocked?

download xs++ and the usb flash driver from here.

turn the phone off, remove the battery and sim card > put the battery back in, do not turn the phone on > open xs++ > connect the usb cable to comp > click start in xs++ > connect your phone to the data cable holding 'c' down (on the phone) > install the drivers from the link i gave you if the found new hardware wizard pops up > you should see a load of writing in the white window on the left > click disconnect in xs++ > open up the log file in the xs++ directory/folder and copy & paste all of it into a new post.

once you have disconnected the phone from xs++, remove the battery and put the sim and batt back in and you will able to turn the phone on.

if for some reason, xs++ wont get the info from the phone, just do what i said above and you should get the info needed 2nd time round

afaik there is no patchfile for db2012 fones, so only direct unlock is the solution

W200i cannot be patch unlocked. Only CSCA activation will unlock it.

i thought most w200s were db2010
