My brother is due his upgrade on the 6th of next month and he's looking for a phone that has very good talk time and standby time, he's not bothered about having any other features because he only uses his phone as a phone, what would you guys be able to suggest? |

Z710i is rated for 10 hours talk time. It gets pretty close to that, too. |

Well, my T650i is rated for 7 hours talk time, and I believe I can get at LEAST that, if not more. For example, I once talked for 3.5 hours straight, and battery life went from 100% -> 65%. Thats exactly 10% for each hour of talking (35% used for 3.5 hours). If the battery drains at a constant rate, then it should be able to reach 10 hours.
On my current charge i've spoken for about 3 hours total, and had 3 days of standby. I'm still at 50% battery life. |

when it comes to talk time SE is the best.
K770 is good, T650 aswell.
the Z710 won't give you 10hours, but 6 is possible.
With Ericsson and Nokia gone: we must keep their spirits alive and buy JOLLA or YOTA |

handsets generally have smarter way of consuming power. thus the longer talk and standby times

SE phones have always been one of the best in my book for both talk and standby times. Samsungs on the other hand, the worst.
Just another update. I was on the phone yesterday for a little over 6 hours straight (don't ask) using handsfree. Phone went from 100% -> 48% over that time. Checking my phone today, its still at 42%. I don't know about you, but I feel thats exceptional. And this is with the usual SE behavior of the screen always being on during the call too! |
