Poor Signal - Orange UK |

Hi guys, new here. Not sure if this is the right forum, but it seemed to span a few forums so I shoved it here.
Firstly, I know this isn't really an SE issue, but I thought you might have some ideas. I live in the UK, and before Christmas I was on O2 and had a K750i. My signal was absolutely fine. Over christmas, I went home (I live at university), and whilst there, changed to a k850i on Orange (UK of course). The signal was fine there too.
Now back at my university house, my signal in my bedroom is terrible. As in, i'll regularly lose network coverage, won't receive or send texts. The thing is, everywhere else it's fine. Even just walking out my room into the living room next door gets me full signal. Likewise, going out of my backdoor makes it fine! It's like an incredibly localised blackspot that happens to be in the one room I use it the most!
This seems to be the same whether or not I have 3g selected - I've tried both. I know it's a long shot, but has anyone got any ideas of what I can do to somehow increase signal slightly, or change a setting or something? It's really frustrating me. I've gotten to the point where I'm now leaving my phone on the coffee table in the living room on loud and leaving my door open so I can hear when I get a text or phone call!
Cheers chaps! |

Firstly, welcome to Esato.
I'm afraid to say there is no way to boost your signal on Orange (or any other network, that I am aware of).
That said, there are several Orange employees and ex-employees who regularly visit this site - perhaps try asking them. -Try a PM to Fatreg - he is always happy to help. Maybe they know something I don't. |
