Tsk.... had waited a for 2 months to find out that my 1 month old phone can't be repaired or replaced. Any other users with this experience? Might put off buying a new phone for a while. but I'm in need of a replacement.

What is the exact issue?
Red Light Blinking? Phone turned on? White screen vibrates and switched off?

Red Blinking LED 6x by the infrared port. The service center said that it was the logic board. They tried replacing a few parts but it didn't work. |

Usually Red Light blink is EROM damaged or Flash fault.

I have also faced such an isuue with my k790.
If you flash with incorrect firmware version or custpack. it can go wild on you. I had a similar issue.
Also the redlight binks if you try to flash when the battery isnt enough to support it. It is a must to have atleast more than 75% battery while flashing. If erom goes bad, you have done it.
The only option is either to reflash using the original files and proper custpack. Also you can use the default SEUS (Sony Ericsson Update Service).
If this doesnt work simply hand over the phone to one of the many service centres. DO NOT tell that you have tried to mod it. Its against the warranty terms and conditions. Put pressure on them to retrieve the phone as quick as possible. After some 15 or more days you will definitely have your phone replaced. |

they (SE service centre) should repair the phone with EMMA (preconfiguration needed). it's a known issue as is was with K610, V630, K790 and K800. if flshing doesn't help they need to replace only one (1) part and then upgrade the firmware. but a special procedur needed to recover the phone.
Hopefully they will repair your phone on warranty. |
