BBC article
Online auction site eBay has said it plans to overhaul its feedback system and will ban sellers from leaving negative comments about buyers.
From May, those selling on eBay will not be able to leave unfavourable or neutral messages about buyers.

This is so much unfair and it makes me sad. I have never bought anything from ebay and probably I never will : but I do not support this idea. So its either you comment on something that is not there or just pretend as if all is well. No as for me I wouldnt do that, Id rather be banned. This is just creeping and ripping off the real image of the sales at an aim to make big and better profit. Hell no

This is not a good idea at all. Whats the point? You'll never really know who you're buying off!

I don't get it either. Seems a rather strange thing to introduce.
There are always 2 sides to any trade and buyers are often also sellers and you want the whole picture when you're buying from them

They obviously intend to focus on highlighting SELLERS ratings, and sweep the fact under the carpet that there are just as many dodgy BUYERS as their are sellers.
Ebay and it's related business Paypal have been going downhill fast over the last couple of years IMO, all they care about is collecting your FEES and that's that!!

Wonder if this will effect a users rating?? thats usually the 1st thing i look at will everyone now be a 100% seller??? A wholly ridiculous idea that can only further the scams and ripoffs, which is still good for ebay as it still guarantees a user base which in turn see`s the ever increasing adverts, its a vicious circle

Hahaha!
It appears many of you can't read. Or won't.
It says sellers cant post negative or neutral comments about buyers.
Scammers are usually sellers not buyers!
Although I do agree with Massuer's point about getting the whole picture.
Have you guys noticed how the people who waste time asking questions never bid? Might as well delete the questions IMO. They're only used by people who can't or won't read.

It is just an insane thing to do. Guess the company is planning on scamming. Maybe they will cancell it after they are done with what so ever they want to do

it mentions the eBay Community forum on Masseurs link,
so if any probs with Sellers then people can post threads about there corrospondence with other partys that way.
