"Certain Chinese handset manufacturers are getting better and better in their cloning efforts. Lately we’ve spotted an almost identical “version” of the Nokia’s flagship N95 8GB smartphone. As you can see from the image above — and more images after the jump — the fake device has some weird-looking buttons and also shady marks. Other than that, it’s practically the same. Except that the built quality isn’t there, and neither is the mobile OS (Symbian S60 3rd Edition Feature Pack 1) and the suite of pre-installed apps. So watch out folks, this is getting seriously out of control…"

Here in Dubai, we have a big Gray market who sells these fake Nokias.
And Distribute all over the MENA region.
They had the Nokia N82 when it was just anounced by Nokia.
i Have seen Perfect copies of N95, N95 8GB, N82, N73, even the Slim 5610 perfect, etc
And the SE models, W660, K810 etc. but the Name is SonyEdisson. i will take some live pics if u people want to see. |

your Nokia N95 8GB with his Chinese Friends  They all comes with Touchscreen, Bluetooth, Camera (1.3 mpix, but its says diff in diff models)FM Radio, MP3 - MP4 Player, 2 - 3 SIM slots (with seperate ringtune for diffrent SIM , you can have 2 calls from 2 different operators at the same time )
An iPhone Clone from China, Looks awsome
And here comes the Virtu Clones and Some Car Phone, They have Ferraris and BMWs as Phone.
All are priced at 100 - 150 Dollars, And this is the BMW Car Phone looks cool isnt it.

Here in Egypt, i found the N95 8GB clone for aprox. 1650 Egyptian pounds, thats equivalent to around.....200 USD.

I went to Dubai recently and was amazed at both the extent of the 'fake' market, and by and large, the quality of some of the gear. It seems you can get your hands on just about anything.
The funny thing is, that there is a sector (can't recall the name) where all the shops have a hidden room at the back or up top, where all the fakes are kept. Tourists are strongly urged (almost frog marched up the stairs!) to view by the owners. Some of the stuff was indistinguishable from the real thing. |
