Hi
Can anyone tell me how you sport a pirated link. I once wondered as to why were some of my threads and post deleted untill Masseur came to my rescue although I was no full helped. He said I was posting pirated links and I am still wondering how one can sport if that particular link was pirated. Okay Iwas happy in the sense that most of them contaied free downloads.

As for me I still can not see how they were pirated.
Any help would be appreciatable.

If the page you link to offers full versions of software / movies / music / ringtones etc. that you normally have to pay for then it's a pirated link. Pirated links can also mean "Backdoors" into sites which by-pass the security and shopping stage to provide direct access to files.

To spot it, you just use your common sense really. These sites are very often full of advertising (usually adult themed) but you could always do a quick google search of the file(s) that you are linking to to make sure that they are indeed legally free.

Basically, If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is...

Yup!

It's just too risky, apart from anything else. Google indexes large, popular sites like Esato on a regular basis and if someone finds a link to pirated stuff and then reports it, Esato could end up in trouble.

Not to mention the risks of viruses, spyware, adware etc.

It's not just a moral issue, unfortunately.
