Hi folks.. been here for quite a while now and am really glad to see the forum growing. When I say growth, its not just the number of people who have signed up. Its the number of active users. I recall when the maximum number of online people hardly exceeded 600. I just glanced a while ago and saw that there were 1165 folks online. Thats definitely a huge growth. I wonder if we can have the "Max online ever"thingy here. I am sure we might have had much a larger amount of folks logged in. The growth shows increased participation. On the flip side, maybe the growth is in proportion with the number of members we added?

I agree whizkidd

max users online: 1350 @ 17 Jan 18:31:43

what I find surprising is the number of people viewing a single thread.
I've been watching the P5i rumours and 2008 portfolio threads and have seen 50+ people viewing each of those topics from time to time which is incredible

Masseur, where do you see the maximum online details? I am using HTML lite now and was pretty sure we did't use to have that info on the forum earlier. I dunno if that has been updated yet. Or is this one of the special privileges mods have?

Staying with the topic, I am happy to see the modding threads and some others which has caused a sudden spurt in the popularity of the forum. From my observations, even though we had people signing up regularly, the number of online folks were constant. I have also seen like 120 members online! Now the lowest we go is around 300 or 400 I believe.

I must say this really is a good thing! It probably also shows the increasing popularity of SE phones? I think many new converts looking for help with certain features and customisation probably come across Esato in their searches and that's why we see new posters that end up staying with us.

Just out of curiosity (and I know this is a little off-topic), how can we check how many times a particular thread has been viewed?

@laffen, thanks for the quick reply! I know it can be seen there, but I was thinking about the older threads that have been inactive for sometime and will not appear on the first few pages of the forum index as such. If for instance I have it in my bookmarks or if I do a search for that thread, is there any way to see the number of views? I know that in the Bookmarks page, the number of views are not shown.

@masseur thank you for giving me the chance to be a part of this success (especially for the "P5 rumors thread" )
