Anyone have one or know anything about the Motorola Z8? I'm rather intrigued with the phone. I've read about the sluggish UI and other quirks, but just as a phone (rf and sound quality) how does it rate? |

It's a bit of a dog turd.
Replace 'a bit', with 'completely', replace 'a dog' with 'an elephant's', and replace 'turd' with 'huge-steaming pile of shit', and you've go the Z8.

LOL. That's as direct as you can get.
It's hard for me to judge. There's a fair amount of complaints, but then there's a few positives as well. I read a ton of negatives about the M600 but I had no issues with mine. Most of the issues I've read about the Z8 are in regards to media features, lag and ui. Those aside as a phone (call volume, rf, etc) I hear it's ok.

If you can get it for cheap, and I mean cheap, then it's not so bad. It's the typical price tag it comes with that makes it all the more painfull.
Plus their about the bring out the Z10 to replace it.

Just wait for Z10 imo, since it is based on the later UIQ 3.2 OS and has autofocus. although i don't know if the Z10 has more RAM than Z8 which i hope since Z8 has a very small RAM amount(only 50MB, it should be 96MB!).
