sorry but i completely disagree, N91 also uses metal body so it is expected for that phone to weigh heavy. i don't think those 3 tiny Audio CHip would make the N81 even too heavy than even the bulkier N95!

it's fast because there was no system animations like the transition heavy W910, i wonder how would it be once it's 330Mhz cpu would be filled with the same transition effects as W910 which even has a slower 200+Mhz cpu!.

@ razec
I totaly understand, remember the iPhone has a 620mhz CPU which is quite a lot and is enough for menu transitions. Maybe s60v3.1 os9.2 either doesnt support 3D animated menu icons OR NOKIA didn't feel the need for it.
N81 has a 369mhz CPU not 330mhz.
Also its not bigger, its heavier and longer but thinner and not has wide.

I thought s60v3 supports menu icon animation. And the transition in the multimedia menu. And these dont look slow to me. |

How about the full transitions the things that animate on S60 where the main menu and multimedia menu. others i.e. submenus were not animated. full menu transitions in SE started with their 100Mhz+ K750. and i and the rest K750 users never experienced lags there:

how about the iTouch and HTC touch with slower 416Mhz(iTouch) and 200Mhz+(HTC Touch) they're were still able to do full menu animations.

Then obviously animated menus aren't priority to NOKIA and realy i and many others don't see the point, the s60 Touch may have. The HTC Touch is interesting ive never played with one so i wouldn't know. You have realy pushed away from the topic and taken me with you, 3D animated menus are little things,if thats a deal breaker for you then thats fine thats you but i'd rather have functions.
The S60 menu on my N81 is perfect for me, fast and simple since behind most icons theres a great function that will let me enjoy my s60.

people hve the own tastes. people hve the own wants. people hve there own needs. some people want a normal phone which is fast and that can do a gud job at normal stuff. ie SE. others want a phone that can do more. hve more apps and so on. ie nokia. if u dnt want alot of advanced apps then thats ur choice. im not gonna judge u on that. and i expect u not 2 judge ppl that want a phone that can hve lots of advanced apps. |

How many of those features you guys mentioned earlier on, do you think priorities on a feature phone?
WiFi b/g? Doubt it.
Dedicated music keys? Could have been there, but no need for it.
Touchsensetive navi wheel? No need for this either. Such a gimmick feature that does nothing good on the N81, especially because of the large number of keys around each other in a small room.
369mhz CPU? This is not needed on a feature phone.
Ngage? Yeah the Ngage platform they have yet to finish. Still, no need for this as the games for Java are more than satisfactory for most people.
A FULL SAFARI WEB BROWSER? It's not a smart phone, so no use either.
A colourful 16M screen? Could have been implemented, but something tells me that you haven't seen a W910's display. As you might know with Sony Ericsson, it's not quantity, it's quality.
A DAC-33 chip (best in sound)? I shall refrain from saying anything about this, as I haven't heard any music from the phone, but I doubt 99% of all people will be able to hear any difference.
3D stereo speakers? 3D effects that suck, yes. Stereo is good.
Symbian OS 9.2 s60v3.1? That's the smart phone platform...
3.5mm jack BUILT IN? Yes - nice and bulgy! Mmmm, 140 grams!
And its an Nseries - NASTYseries?

W910 has:
Java
Aww cute shake control
Hsdpa but wait that realy doesnt make much of a diff these days to 3G!
And uhmm WOW thats it, so much for a "Music Phone".
Oh and by the way to the SE fanboy club that is still stuck on saying the symbian OS is slow cause they only tested a N70 i say MOVE ON AND GET OVER IT!! The N81 is seriously fast DOZENS of reviews say that I Say that, they even say its on par with your "dumb phones" so quit living in the past!
Anyway N81 is better than W910 case closed.

This is quite silly. These points you mentioned above add TANGIBLE capability/benefit to the phone. SE menu transitions are just eye-candy which adds NOTHING (except lag ) to the phone.
If you like the superficial eye-candy so much, let me tell you that there are 3rd party flash-based "phone desktop UI replacement" for S60v3 / N81 which have the nice eye-candy that you so desired.

So in other words if SE don't have it then it doesn't matter? Got to love the SE Fanboy mantality. Excuse me but Music Keys SHOULD be there or else what kind of Music phone is it? Wait a Walkman okay i totaly understand, so what next? A Cyber Shot without Camera keys? Sweet.
Ive seen the W910 screen, average, nothing much to hype about.
