HELP! Airtel Live on w950i not working. |

I requested Airtel Live settings on my new w950i. I received the settings and installed it. But i am still not able to connect to Airtel Live. However Airtel Live is there in the Internet Profiles list. Can anybody help me out? TIA.

When you say you are not able to connect, do you mean you receive an error message? Is the live home page opening?

Yes. its the AIRTEL LIVE homepage...It says CANNOT LOCATE REMOTE SERVER...even tried yahoo.com...same prob.

Hmm.. just to verify, the live homepage is working fine. It seems the problem is specific to your phone. I hope you're connecting using the live profile. Try deleting other profiles in case you have other settings installed too.

When i checked there were 2 settings for Vodafone...i deleted them...now i have only Airtel profile...i've also switched off/on my handset, but still i'm not able to connect...

How to successfully connect to Airtel live! Homepage-
1)Apply for a Airtel(preferably prepaid)connection
2)Call the customer care at 9831012345 with non-Airtel connection or 121 with your Airtel mobile
3)Ask them how much minimum balance you have to have to activate Airtel live.And also order them to activate Airtel live.
4)Recharge with the required money so that you get over the minimum balance required.
5)Check that your handset supports GPRS and download the live settings by sending LIVE to 2567(toll free).Activate the settings in all applications or only web.
Then just goto web and click on home.It'd load Airtel's page.Or you can enter in.wap.yahoo.com to access yahoo's page.Do whatever you've missed. |

1> I already have an Airtel connection.
2> I already called CC and they'd sent me the settings.
3> I have a post paid connection and I have a healthy account.
4> N.A.
5> It does support GPRS. Sent LIVE to 52567( i was told to add 5) and recvd. the same settings. Installed. Restarted the phone. COULD NOT LOCATE REMOTE SERVER...
I've tried in.wap.yahoo.com/live.airtelworld.com NOTHING!

in the internet settings change the port number to 8080 or 9401.if still you are unable to connect,call customer care and enquire about the settings required for the postpaid connection.they may connect you to the gprs help centre where you can manually set up your settings.i think there may be change in apn |
