Apple have three types of Ipod in the recently market:

 Ipod shuffle:
Storage/capacity : 1GB (240 songs)
Battery life: Up to 12 hours of music playback
Connectivity: USB through included dock
Charge time: About 4 hours (2-hour fast charge to 80% capacity)
Audio support: AAC (8 to 320 Kbps), Protected AAC (from iTunes Store), MP3 (8 to 320 Kbps), MP3 VBR, Audible (formats 2, 3, and 4), WAV, and AIF
Display: none
Video support: nonsupport
Photo support: nonsupport

 Ipod nano
Storage/capacity : 4GB (1000 songs) ,8GB (2000 songs)
Battery life:Up to 24 hours of music playback; up to 5 hours of video playback
Display: 2-inch (diagonal) color LCD with LED backlight.
Connectivity: USB through dock connector; component and composite video through dock connector (with AV cables, sold separately); audio through headphone jack
Charge time: About 3 hours (1.5-hour fast charge to 80% capacity)
Audio support: AAC (16 to 320 Kbps), Protected AAC (from iTunes Store), MP3 (16 to 320 Kbps), MP3 VBR, Audible (formats 2, 3, and 4), Apple Lossless, WAV, and AIFF

2> Ipod touch
Storage/capacity : 8GB (1,750 songs)/ 16GB (3,500 songs)
Battery life: Up to 22 hours of music playback; up to 5 hours of video playback
Display: 3.5-inch (diagonal) widescreen multi-touch display
Charge time: About 3 hours (1.5-hour fast charge to 80% capacity)
Wireless data: Wi-Fi (802.11b/g)
Connectivity, Audio support,Video support:,Photo support all the same as Ipod nano.


Ipod Touch supports flash memory : Ipod Classic supports hard disk storage.It is said that the hard disk storage’s quality ( audio/video quality)is better than flash memory’s.
But Ipod touch is cool because of its widescreen multi-touch display!

All iPods except the shuffle model utilizes Sound Processor (audio chip)
