Has anybody got one of these bloody things that restrict you from carrying out online transactions?
I am trying to set up a few payments and it is asking for me to use the card reader, so I get it out of my top drawer follow all the instructions give it the code, in return it gives me one back and in turn I give it to the pc then the pc rejects it! and locks me out!
I must admit they have got this sewn down tight fraud wise if the *"()!*£** owner of the card and bank account can't even carry out the transaction!!!!

Wow never even knew about this what is it like your own chip and pin reader machine like they have in shops.
I know in work natwest cards can be dodgy i.e they seem to decline alot even when customers have money in their account. Doesn't seem to happen with other banks.

It is to cut down on online fraud but all it is doing is frustrating the life out of me!
For me the idea of doing internet banking is to do it any where any time!! not any more you now have to carry your card and card reader around with you to carry out certain transactions, only it doesn't work any how so what's the point in carrying it around?
Everything Natwest are doing ATM is really annoying me, I have Business managers I can NEVER get in touch with and an inept online service! and the Business bank charges are extortionate!
Alliance and Leicester here I come!

Worst of it is, because our maud works for them and we have a joint account, when I ring up actionline they won't talk to me as I have a business account and a staff account so I actually pay more than a normal non business customer for less service! no go figure that one out!!
A & L offer free business banking so I may transfer to them but I hate moving banks!

I guess with a business account it's more hassle changing but if the service will be better then you know what you have to do.

It's sort of known across the country from what I gather, that Natwest is the shittest high street bank there is. I've literally not heard anything but bad things about them from other people.
My opinions on this forum are that of my own and not of the company I work for. |

Royal Bank of Scotland lads, service is second to none, and their online banking is a joy to behold.

Yup it is
There basically different companies apart from the fact they have the same owner.
Royal Bank is really on the up.
