got here a tytn II, tmobile locked and branded. put the maps on the card, app is running, but it wont ( or cant find ) built in gps... any ideas? thx

try and search at modaco.com it's something with setting on com 4 and at a certain rate

Have you tried quickgps in programs? Be sure to be outside

i made the right settings, but dont get why isnt it working... also disabled external gps... maybe its the t-mobile fw?

You used the little "external GPS" settings applet? That's probably the problem. There's some kind of bug with it that can disable the internal GPS, just by changing anything there (some say just by opening the applet at all!)

I think your best best is a hard reset (involves losing all data) and start again. You really shouldn't have to mess with anything to get the internal GPS working - if you're using the right version of Tom Tom it should just work.

i turned off external gps, cos when its on, its usually envlaes auto the bt and serach for it. yeah, guess a hard reset will be the next step. even its weird, never had any problems with trinity ( have to admit that one is unlbranded ) when i tested that. anyway, i ll tell the guy, if i cant manage it, he should turn to t-mobile.
