my k800i wont work plz helpp |

well my k800i recently just swithced by itslef and i've tried using wotan client i payed for 1 credit and i have downloaded the flash drivers and unziped them and when i open wotan client up and plug in my phone it just keeps sayinwaiting and wont connect although on my laptop i occasionaly get a message saying that it doesnt recognise the drive and i have tried updating it but no luck any ideas please as i payed 160 pounds and the phone is really important to me |

Have you tried holding down 2+5 and connecting the USB cabel to phone instead of "C"?
And have you installed the right flash drivers?
If you hold down "C" and plug in the phone (without any program) windows doesnt say anything but if windows says
like - new hardware found or anything the drivers arent installed properly.

hi yes i have tried it i dont know about the drivers but i have just reinstalled sony eircsson pc suite and downloaded and extraced the flash drivers a few times still no luck can any1 help me? |

One thing i DO know is that if you install Sony Ericsson - Update Service Program you get the right USB Flash Drivers installed with it.

So if you hold "C" and connect your phone to the comp(Without any programs like WOTAN) - nothing pops upp? Windows doesnt react?
Then i dont know, you could use other programs to flash your phone - like XS++ and see if that works out.

hi it indows sometimes reacts sayin device not recognised but wotan wont even regocnise and yes i get a flashiing red light??? |

A flashing red light at the infrered port is sign of that your EROM is broken.

Well, for starters laptops are still concidered computers as far as i know. 
If i were you i would probably follow the guide and repair the EROM and then flash with new firmware.
Did you try any other program than Wotan?
If ALL programs give you a "cant detect phone" im out of ideas.
You could allways send your phone to service. But if you have altered with own FW and what not and they find out
your warranty is broken.

kulan doestn regocnise it either but my laptop sometimes recognises it only sometimes sayin its not recognised but as long as it comes up |

if the normal data cable doesnt detect it, im afriad you are going to have to buy a service cable to fix it.
ive had a few k800i's like this and at least 3 of the 8 i have repaired have needed a service cable
K700i > K750i > K810i (current phone)
