P1i battery is generally very good

if you think the standard BST-40 battery which has 1120mAh is poor, why would you swap it with the BST-33 which has only 900mAh?

I find the battery life to be outstanding, especially in relation to some of it's competitors such as the Nokia N95, etc.

I normally leave my WLAN on constantly, and along with calls and texts, and the occassional bit of surfing my battery normal lasts around 3 days.

Yo have to take into account a lot of factors: how much you use your phone, if you have 3G and the strength of the signal, if you use the camera, WLAN and all the other features. Unless the phone is brand new or you charge it 2 times/day, I am pretty sure your battery is original and behaves normal.

I'm running wifi, bluetooth full time and checking email on two accounts every 15 minutes. The fact that I can get a couple of days out of the battery doing that is quite enough for me. I've been using the phone with the BST-33 of my old p990i and the BST-40 and don't have a massive problem with either.

Hi,
i realize my 3g is on , thatis why my battery drain so fast.

I planning to buy an additional battery , is either original BST-33 with 900mAH or 2500mAh battery from MAxxpower (german company)? both almost same price

Um.. test out the 2500mAh and tell us if it works?

My oppinion is that unless there was a quantum leap on Lithium Ion batteries on the last couple of months (which I don't believe) all brands that say their batteries hold much more power than the Sony Ericsson P1 original battery, are lying.
Maybe they hold that power ... but only for 30 seconds after recharge.

I would not buy anything other than original batteries. 1500 mAh in 950 mAh package. Funny!
