W810i photos pics ruined blackened blocked-out |

Hi all. I have an ongoing problem with photos on the W810i, which is that the camera randomly destroys my photos! I have a 4GB Duo Pro MS inserted, but the problem occurs even when it's removed (i.e., photos stored to internal memory).
I can take the picture just fine. Then, I can view the picture just fine. But randomly, the next time I go to view the photo it has half (either vertically or horizontally) the picture all blue or with lines and stripes all over! When I close the File Viewer or the Camera Viewer, the photo is permanently damaged!
In fact, sometimes, the picture will show up just fine in the thumbnails, but will be completely black when I select it for viewing, but then will be all messed up when I select it for Horizontal View.
Just to be clear: the first couple of times I viewed this picture, it was fine. This happens regardless of whether the MS card is inserted or not (the problem is not with the card).
A little help, anyone? Thanks! |

@theholyrolle:
indeed, kenoby might have the correct solution.. it might be your memory card, mate. try using another (hopefully, uncorrupted) memory card in storing your precious photos.. if this is not immediately possible, why not try downloading your shots quickly to your pc so that you can still preserve them before they get destroyed by being corrupted in your current card..
cheers, mate!

Well, sh*t happen with memory. Just reformat your memory and try again. Best way is to use computer to reformat and then format again with the phone. If the memory is not broken this will help. You may have to replace your card.
Have no idea if it also affect phone internal memory. You may want to reflash your firmware so that it completely reformatted available internal memory. |

Well, thank you all for the posts.
As Hanugro suggested, it is cheaper to reformat the card than to buy a new one.
So far [fingers and toes crossed], so good.

I have this issue. Changed cards. Glad this isn't a widespread issue. |
