Dear Esatonians!
Since the new subject arised in the N82 vs K850i I wanted to relocate it here since I believe many people have something to say about the comments given there. I do not want to be in a "K850i camp to defend its colours and stripes" or whatever. Just want for everyone to post its personal photos done with aforementioned cam phones to compare. Upload to Esato can be done but please use some image host server to attach the original.
Only standard drivers can be used for comparison.

Any 5mp camera phone will do? How about the i-mobile 902:
Resized to 800x600:
800x600 center crop from the above at full size:

@ AbuBasim, any phone cam on the market if compared to 902 will be blown away Thanks to it's sony CCD, if I understood correct.
When I wrote the post I didn't remember "that one".
Thanks for the contribution...

@ tai, thanks for the source, very useful. You are able to see the difference between K850i and K800. |

That's very good. Comparing that with the i-mobile 902 again, the 902 has a very good sensor but the lens is crap. Corners are fuzzy, and if you shoot one photo in 5MP and then a second in 3MP you will struggle to see much difference. |

Taken by T650i. I know its not the K800/K810, but I feel the T650i and the K770 actually take better shots than either of those two phones, and including the K850 as well. Well, at least in good lighting situations.

A 3mp picture downsized to XGA resoution (1024x768) would of course look good. but how about full size? the T650 wont render better pic than K810/K800 because of the main factor: sensor and lens size/type

It depends really. In low light situations, the aperture on the T650/K770 is so small, its forced to increase the exposure to get a bright enough shot which ends up blurring easily. The K800's lens is larger so it doesn't have as much of a problem.
But the real reason I feel the T650/K770 takes better shots is because of less noise reduction. The K800 ends up making fine details look pretty bad. The K650 does a better job at preserving those details, allowing for better looking shots when viewed at 100%. Observe:
Its not the best example, but it should demonstrate what i'm talking about. The T650i is on the left. K800 on the right. Notice how on the K800, the ground has lost most of its detail and looks more like a "smear". Its especially apparent in the bottom of the shot in the whitish area. The noise reduction has removed all the little white specs! Look closely at the tire in the background. The T650i retains all the detail, but the K800 throws a lot of it away.
With that said, the T650i's shot is overall softer, due to a poorer lens compared to the K800. |

A low light crop viewed at 100% size.
And finally, a nighttime shot taken by me on my T650i last night:
Totally untouched except for 50% resize. |

You mean bad pictures like this?
or this?
or this?
or this?
A lot of the pictures taken in that thread were posted by me and look quite excellent. Low light shots will look very blurry if not kept steady, but bright day pics look great.
As for the K850 taking 10x better pics... well I just demonstrated how in some ways the T650i takes better pics than the K800 above. Since the K850 isn't much of an improvement over the K800 (and in some ways worse), I don't see how your argument is valid. But please feel free to show some shots taken by the K850i at 100% view (don't upload to esato). |

he he he..but someone said that t650 was better then both k850 & imobile902 (or something)...sweet dreams.
even k800/k810 take quite much sharper/better pics then T650/K770....
like i said, just look at the T650 thread and you see what i mean...

and YES, the snowlift picture is the only pic ive seen with t650 who have that quality.
