Found a new hack that enables you to mount the memory card to the Mac OS X.

The m600usbenabler.kext link seems to be down since a while and here is the new p1usbenabler.kext on a blog I found.

http://sonyericssonp1.blogspo[....]ed-usb-kabel-och-mac-os-x.html

Its in foreign language, but I can explain now:

(1) Download the link on the site
(2) Put the downloaded file in: system/library/extensions
(3) Attach your P1 with the USB cable to the Mac
(3) Type following in the terminal:

cd /System/library/Extensions
sudo chown -R root:wheel P1iUSBFileEnabler.kext
sudo kextload P1iUSBFileEnabler.kext

Finished!

And you can sync iPhoto, iTuneMywalkman(iTunes) or "p990iCal" with a Mac OS X and your P1i using a USB cable.

I liked it a lot.

Hi!

I have a Mac under Mac OS X 10.5.1 and I see my P1 memory card as a disk without doing anything special. It just mount as a regular USB disk.

As far as I know, and what I have experienced, P1i memory card works as a USB Mass Storage, which is actually a standard on Windows, Mac or Linux. So if you connect your P1i to PC it recognizes that, you chose Mass storage on the screen of your cell and the card is visible on PC as a removable storage. No pseudo hack is needed. Read user's manual dude.

The SE p1i memory card doesn´t mount on Mac OS X 10.4.11 without the hack.

Pretty good hack! I let my friend know who is still on Tiger.
I'm using Leopard, so no problem for me.
