Spot on. I'm counting Variants (for example K790/K800 or W958/W950 count as separate phones) but "c" or "i" isn't really a variant - it differs in regional settings only.

Don't forget your question

Ah ah ah. Dual Front.

Due to the position of the camera button, it would seem the T610 can claim to be the first dual-front design.

Who was the designer of the T610?

No, actually, the first time the term "dual fronts" was used by SE to describe a phone with a digital camera on one side and a phone on the other, was in reference to the K700 (and the S700, but the K700 was first to market).

The term was never applied to T610. The term dual fronts does not refer to a phone with a camera in it. It refers to a styling feature that gave the "back" of the phone styling cues that mirror the "front" of a digital camera.

If you look at the T610, it's back doesn't look anything like a camera. Then have a look at the K700, and you will see why the term "dual front" applies to the K700 and not earlier SE camera phones.

The reason I know for a fact? Because when I bought the K700 (the first SE I bought outright), it was the first time SE used the marketing term "dual fronts" to describe one of their phones.

SE described the T610 and T630 as having two sides, but they never used the term "dual fronts" until the appearance of the K700.

If you don't trust my memory, read wiki

@max_wedge, you're quite right. I remember this because the first time I saw the K700i promo images I knew I needed it.

SE have since dropped the dual fronts thing I believe. Before they dropped it though, I reckon some of the phones they applied the term to looked nothing like a digital camera on the 'camera side'.

I would still class the K850i and many phones as a dual front design even though the marketing term isn't used much any more - at least I haven't seen it.

The dual-front concept certainly began with the T610 and the position of its shutter button - unless I am mistaken - as no other phone was designed to be used in such a way with nearly every mono-block camera phone since having the shutter button in the same position. The marketing and styling began with the K700i.

Here the designer talks briefly about its dual purpose.

^^ Nice brainstorming on the Dual Font idea folks

Now here another #Q:

Despite the similar module installed along with the top notch mobile camera solutions D750/K750/W800/W900/W810 P990's camera designation indicates much higher focal length rating. Now what was the Focal Length of P990?

a.) 5.6mm

b.) 5.0mm

c.) 5.8mm

d.) 6.0mm

e.) 5.16mm

f.) 5.2mm
