They'll show figures, but not that detailed, I guess.

I think they were aiming for 10% market share by the end of 2007 so it will be great if they achieved this.

Hi all,

Well i really can't wait to see what this reveals but i somehow doubt it is going to be the good news many of you are expecting the amount of k850's returned and exchanged will have had an impact same as the recalled Orange W910's.

Also the fact the the P1 was and is still only available via one Network also can't be seen as positive either IMO. But in 6 days we will all know one way or the other but i seriously doubt the predictions being made at the beginning of 2007 have been met with SE having sold 200 Million devcies plus and being number 2 just don't really seem likely to me.

Hopefully this will be the wake up call SE need and 2008 with the new CEO will see SE return to delivering innovative quality products once more and the growth that will come with it.

Marc

I think it'll be hard to gain 1 percentage point in a quarter of a year, but I'm sure it's close.

The tone of the press release is up-beat. A statement from the new President followed by an opportunty to be grilled by the media... sounds like are wanting to announce good news in the biggest possible way. If it was bad news, this is not the way to present it. Ericsson management denied any drop in it's profits last year right up until the figures became public.

Now we know why Dickie postponed answering the 10 email questions. He wouldn't want to pre-empt such a big media event and take the focus off success.

Talks with operator and retail sources at this week’s CES conference indicate that Samsung, LG and Sony Ericsson continue their European market share gain surges, while Nokia seems under seige.

You seem to be expecting the worst from SE....your mind is undoubtedly made as regards the financial results....You might be VERY disappointed.
And i would love to read your response if your expectations are not met.

@chuksy

You are just so wrong nothing would please me more than to see SE return to where they should be, but with with one problem after another i just feel this to be somewhat unlikely along with the number of once happy SE users that now seem to of got there devcies elsewhere. I just don't share the optimism of many here is all.

@Goldenface you really can't be serious did you not read both the increased sales and market share that Nokia achieved last quarter whilst SE's dropped. Since when Nokia have released more new devcies that are also selling well so i some how doubt your prediction is even close to the truth but the figures will speak for themselves soon enough.

But unfortunately just because this is what many of you want to see SE rising and Nokia is failing is very unlikely to make it so, i remember so well all the predictions made by many of this will be SE's year they are going to be number 2 lets wait and see how right they were .Before making unsubstantiated claims based on what people want rather than the reality shall we as that seems the more sensible thing to do than guessing and wishful thinking.

Return to where they should be? You mean in your eyes?
have sold more phones this year than ever before. This is 's golden period in terms of sales if not innovation. I realise some of thier models have recieved criticism among owners and self-professed experts like us but let's face it. phones have been selling well above previous years.

I agree that reaching #2 this year is wishful thinking. But I expect them to reach #3 at the expense of...

This isn't really a vs Nokia thread, though that link that Goldenface posted was an interesting opinion piece. We'll see on Wednesday I guess.
